October 7, 2021, Portland, OR – TPG is pleased to have been ranked second of the Top Ten philanthropic companies (medium-sized company category) in the Portland Business Journal’s 2021 Corporate Philanthropy List and Awards. This celebration of community service and corporate giving honors the top companies that have exemplary philanthropic practices and that are developing an innovative partnership between companies and non-profits.
The final rankings were revealed October 7 at the Corporate Philanthropy Awards event, in a heartfelt celebration honoring the work taking place in our community during these challenging times. Of note during the event were these points:
* The combined total in philanthropic donations from all the companies in today’s program was an astounding $133.5 million to the region.
* In the medium category (in which TPG was ranked), the top three companies gave a total of $834,000.
* This year, the PBJ added a new category, honoring all companies that gave $1 million or more. This year, there were 10 companies who hit this goal – a special shoutout to TPG client Tillamook Creamery for their generosity.
* In the Enterprise category, the total amount given out to the community was $70 million, with the top three in that group donating $35 million.
TPG’s History of Giving
Since the company was founded 40 years ago in 1981, we at The Partners Group have held our tradition of giving back to the communities in which we live and work. In 2020, we launched the #Give30 campaign, in which TPG has pledged to give back $30 million in time and donations by the year 2030. We are well on our way to reaching our goal.
