As part of The Partners Group year-end volunteering program, every employee is given a day off to spend time volunteering for their non-profit of choice. Some of The Partners Group employees* volunteered at The Salvation Army Moore Street Corps and Community Center location. The volunteers stayed busy at The Salvation Army with many projects, such as: preparing for the distribution of holiday toys and food boxes, setting up the gym for sorting the toys by gender and age, moving the giveaways from various storage areas, helping to clean out and organize storage rooms, removing trash and materials that were no longer needed, and unloading the food truck.
The Salvation Army Moore Street Corps and Community Center serves Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington County. The Portland Salvation Army has 7 programs and 4 social service locations. These programs are: domestic violence programs for women and children, feeding programs, veterans’ programs, residential programs for adolescent and pregnant teen girls, shelter services for people experiencing homelessness, recreational and retreat facilities, utility assistance, Christmas assistance providing toys for kids, and back-to-school assistance for eligible families.
